CHAMPIONS!! 🏆 A huge congratulations to coach Hol CHAMPIONS!! 🏆 A huge congratulations to coach Hollie and her 2011 boys, who won the U15 division of the Directors Cup! The boys faced a very strong Idaho Rush side in the final and produced a fantastic performance to earn a hard-fought 1-0 victory and bring the trophy home. Coach Hollie commented “So proud of this group. It’s been a privilege to coach these boys and watch them grow together over the years. Losing the first game and coming back to beat that same team in the championship showed the heart and resilience of this team. A special way to end their final tournament together.”

⭐️ Player of the Week ⭐️ This week’s Player of th ⭐️ Player of the Week ⭐️ This week’s Player of the Week goes to U14 goalkeeper Aiden Safley. Aiden joined SVSC through our Mini Kickers program at the age of 5, and it has been amazing to watch his development throughout the years. Just two seasons ago, Aiden became the U14s’ full-time goalkeeper, and his progression since then has been incredibly impressive, even earning selection to the Idaho U14 ODP team. Coach Steve commented: “Aiden has been nothing short of brilliant for the team as their goalkeeper. He pulled off some unbelievable saves during the U14s’ run to their upcoming State Cup semi-final. We’re lucky to have such a great, dedicated goalkeeper. Aiden’s attitude and team-first mentality are a real asset to the team and a big part of the boys’ success as a group. Aiden is also one of the captains for the team, and his leadership skills and positive attitude for someone so young are incredibly impressive. I look forward to continuing to watch him grow and develop as a player in the years to come.”
State Cup semi-final!!! Preparation for our U14 b State Cup semi-final!!! Preparation for our U14 boy’s State Cup semi-final has begun. The boys will take on our friends over at @twin_falls_rapids_soccer These two teams have faced each other in many finals over the years and recently battled to a 0-0 draw at Canyon Rim. It’s shaping up to be another close contest to see who advances to the State Cup final. Let’s go SVSC!
CHAMPIONS 🏆 Congrats to our 2014 boys on winning CHAMPIONS 🏆 Congrats to our 2014 boys on winning the idaho falls shootout tournament this past weekend. Coach Lincoln commented: An amazing group of young men playing phenomenal team soccer! Their hard work and dedication to the sport came shining through this weekend with dominant performances in all four games, finishing as champions without conceding a single goal all weekend. I’m very proud of the boys!
Champions! 🏆 Congratulations to our 2016 boys on Champions! 🏆 Congratulations to our 2016 boys on winning the Idaho Falls Shootout Tournament this weekend! The boys won a very competitive final 3-1 against a tough Mexico Utah Academy side. A huge well done to coach John, coach Angel, and all the boys for their hard work and dedication. Coach John commented: “We are super proud of the lads. They adapted to the shortened field and smaller goals by putting on a passing showcase. For coaches, getting to watch them move the ball around like that… it’s as good as it gets.”
Champions!!! 🏆 A massive congratulations to the U Champions!!! 🏆 A massive congratulations to the U13 girls, who won the Idaho Falls Shootout this afternoon! The girls had an incredibly impressive weekend, winning all four games, scoring 13 goals, and conceding only 2 goals all weekend. Coach Steve commented: “I am incredibly proud of this group. The players and parents have trusted the process and the way we want our teams to play. I ask the girls to be brave on the ball and play a possession-based style, which can be difficult at such a young age. Long term, though, it sets them up for future success. This weekend was the first real taste of that, and they fully deserve it. The future is very bright for these young ladies. Congratulations, girls!”
Mini Kickers Week 2! Mini Kickers week two contin Mini Kickers Week 2! Mini Kickers week two continues to provide a fun, educational, and exciting experience for the future SVSC boys and girls! Director Steve Carroll commented: “This season is our biggest and best yet. It’s amazing to see so many young boys and girls get an enjoyable first taste of soccer. Igniting that love for soccer at a young age is so important. Our games make these sessions fun and engaging for our Mini Kickers while they also begin to understand the FUNdamentals of soccer. We’re proud to have such an amazing Mini Kickers coaching staff that can guide these young boys and girls through their first sessions and into our competitive program. The future is bright.”
⭐️Player of the Week⭐️ This week’s Player of the ⭐️Player of the Week⭐️ This week’s Player of the Week goes to Yamil Roman from Coach Hollie’s 2011 boys. Yamil has been with Sun Valley Soccer Club for 8 years and has always been an incredible addition to our club. He is a technical and tenacious player who has recently transitioned from center back to a ball-playing number 6. Coach Hollie commented: “Yamil has been with Sun Valley since he was 6 years old. He’s one of the hardest-working players on the team, always putting in extra time off the pitch. He’s always smiling, striving to improve, and brings a true passion for the game. This year, he’s taken on a new role in central midfield and continues to learn and grow. Proud of you, Yamil!”
A big congratulations to our 2017 boys on finishin A big congratulations to our 2017 boys on finishing second place in the Gold Bracket at the Canyon Rim Spring Classic! The boys were outstanding in the group stage, winning all three games to book their spot in the final. The final was a tight, competitive match, with the lads narrowly falling 2–1. A fantastic showing from this group—scoring 19 goals across four games is an incredible achievement. The future is very bright for these lads! Well done boys!
2011 boys take 2nd place at the Canyon Rim Spring 2011 boys take 2nd place at the Canyon Rim Spring Classic! Congrats to our 2011 boys on a fantastic showing at the Canyon Rim Spring Classic. After an impressive semifinal win over Rapids, the boys battled their way into the final, where they came up against a very strong Inferno side. This group continues to put in the work, and the progress is clear to see. The focus now shifts to Directors Cup in a few weeks’ time. Well done, boys
